BestKiteboarding splits its research and development across a number of different locations. Our two main bases for R&D are Australia and Brazil. The raw kite design work takes place in Australia for 6 months of the year; the team then decamps to Brazil to test and fine tune the product for the upcoming season.
As we know we are ultimately serving our customers we welcome their feedback in early stages of production, and any rider is welcome to come and try the latest prototype products at out Brazil R&D facility throughout the year. When you are there you will likely get to meet most of the team who put together the entire range of BestKiteboarding products each season, it really is one big happy family.
In between all this testing are numerous trips back and forward to various production facilities around the globe. Kite production is Asia is closely overseen with ever step-change being overlooked by the designer Peter Stiewe to make sure that every single kite that comes off the production line is exactly as it was intended. Numerous trip and conferences with our materials suppliers take place during the season as new cloths are developed and tested and put into production. Our particularly close relationship with Cuben Fiber Corp' enables us to develop small runs of advanced fabric for use in our Pro-range of kites to deliver the ultimate technical performance.
When near-final versions of kites have been made small batches are then shipped out to testers across the USA and Europe, we put the kites in the hands of the toughest and most demanding riders on the planet, not just competitive riders, but also beginners who have an entirely different set of demands. Only when a product has been refined and tuned to within an inch of its life does it make its way into production and onto the shelves of our dealers worldwide.
